In the paragraph following the statement of Corollary 2.7.1 in the authors' paper [ibid. 125, 237-300 (1987; Zbl 0633.57006)], in which we show that corollary 2.7.1 implies the Cyclic Surgery Theorem, we omitted the case when M' is Seifert-fibered. The proof that M' cannot be Seifert- fibered is essentially the same as the proof that M' cannot be cabled.
