We make an initial value investigation of an unsteady combined free and forced convection flow in a porous rotating channel. Both the porous walls execute non-torsional oscillations in their own plane and in addition they are maintained at a constant temperature gradient. The solutions for the velocity, temperature distributions and the shear stresses are obtained in closed form by using Laplace transform technique. The structure of the associated boundary layers are discussed for small \((\omega \ll 1)\), intermediate \((\omega =O(1))\) and high frequency \((\omega \gg 1)\) of oscillations.
