The paper deals with a generalization of max-min transitivity of fuzzy relations [cf. the author, ibid. 22, 297-302 (1987; Zbl 0623.15019)]. The author proves that powers of an s-transitive fuzzy matrix either converge or oscillate with period 2, while powers of max-min transitive fuzzy matrix always converge [cf. \textit{H. Hashimoto}, ibid. 9, 153-160 (1983; Zbl 0509.15009)].
