On distortion functions for the strong constraint method of numerically generating orthogonal coordinate grids (Q1105340)

Using function theoretic arguments and the Poisson formula, the authors show the existence of an orthogonal mapping between the unit square and a simply-connected domain under a constraint which makes that mapping suitable for application in grid construction (with a certain grid control in both coordinate directions) for freee surface flow problems - referring for this application to the paper of \textit{G. Ryskin} and the third author [ibid. 50, 71-100 (1983; Zbl 0579.65123)].
