The authors consider a possible generalization of the twistor description of a massless particle to space-times of dimension \(D\neq 4\). It is shown that while the description of the linear momentum in terms of a spinor is possible when \(D=3,4,5\) and 10, analogous descriptions of the angular momentum cannot be immediately generalized when \(D=6\) and 10. The procedure investigated involves considering SL(2,\({\mathbb{A}})\) when \({\mathbb{A}}={\mathbb{R}},{\mathbb{C}},{\mathbb{Q}}\) and \({\mathbb{O}}\) as covering groups of the Lorentz group when \(D=3,4,6\) and 10.
