This paper discusses the discrete velocity models of the Boltzmann equation. It is presented how models can be constructed with k moduli of velocities for an arbitrary integer \(k\geq 2\). The main result is a theorem that proves the regularity of the models. Particular results of the same authors are given elsewhere [Proc. Japan Acad., Ser. A 62, 171- 173 (1986; Zbl 0638.76089)].
