The paper introduces and examines the level normality of fuzzy groups in a given group G (a fuzzy group with a finite family of level subgroups which forms a normal chain of subgroups of G). Products of fuzzy subgroups of finite groups G are also considered. Some results are related to those presented independently by \textit{P. Bhattacharya} and \textit{N. P. Mukherjee} [cf. Inf. Sci. 38, 293-297 (1986; Zbl 0599.20004), ibid. 41, 77-91 (1987; Zbl 0623.20001)].
