The shock propagation in a homogeneous mixture of gas and liquid has been discussed. Starting from the very basic equations governing the flow of constituent fluids it has been shown that these equations can be reduced to corresponding equations for a single fluid. For this fluid, the shock relations and hence the jump conditions across the shock wave propagating in it have been obtained. The density strength of shock wave has also been calculated which shows full agreement with previous results.
