Dissipativität und globale Stabilität des komplexen Lorenz-Systems. (Dissipativity and global stability of the complex Lorenz systems) (Q1108446)

The paper deals with the Lorenz system in complex form \[ (1)\quad \dot x=-\sigma (x-y),\quad \dot y=-xz+rx-ay,\quad \dot z=- bz+\frac{1}{2}(x\quad *y+xy\quad *), \] where \(\sigma\) and b are real and positive, a and r are complex, and x * and y * are conjugate of the variables x and y. The authors first prove that the system (1) is dissipative. Then using a Lyapunov function they establish that under certain conditions for the parameters, (1) is globally asymptotic stable.
