The main result is a converse of Taylor's theorem for functions on locally convex linear space which has been derived from certain local representation theorems introduced here using the concept of pseudonorm. These results are extensions of similar results of \textit{S. Dayal} [Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 65, 265-273 (1977; Zbl 0365.41004)] proved for Banach spaces.
