Relations between cumulants of waiting time distributions are discussed for several queueing systems, including a bulk arrivals queue (considering a random customer in an arrival group). Numerical results are given, in terms of skewness and kurtosis, approximating the general distributions by Erlang distributions. Some approximations by certain Pearson distributions are suggested.
