New techniques are introduced for grids consisting of non-equidistant convex four-point meshes. For the interpolation, a generalization of the area-weighting method used in rectangular grids is obtained. For the localization, an auxiliary rectangular grid is used. The method allows saving in computer time and is vectorizable. An application to numerical simulation of power systems is considered.
