    A method for solving large sparse systems of linear algebraic equations that arise from finite-element discretisations is proposed. The method is based on a fine domain decomposition that can be conveniently mapped onto processor array for parallel SIMD architectures with limited local memory. The equations are structured using a form of one-way dissection and then the equations are solved by an iteration that combines cg- relaxation with coarse grid smoothing. Also numerical experiments using 64\(\times 64\) processor array (DAP) are given.
