A spread of PG(3,q), q an odd prime, constructed by R. Baker and G. Ebert (unpublished), is isomorphic to a spread derived by J. A. Thas (unpublished) from a work of \textit{J. C. Fisher} and \textit{J. A. Thas} [Mat. Z. 169, 1-11 (1979; Zbl 0396.51009)]. Associate with it is a generalized quadrangle, which therefore is not new, but whose new definition allows to find the collineation previously sought unsuccessfully by the author (unpublished). Reviewer's comment: the paper rests heavily on several unpublished papers.
