Nonparametric estimates of regression curves and surfaces (Q1111286)

A nonparametric estimate of the regression surface is considered that depends on two functional and two numerical parameters. The asymptotic behavior (for an infinitely increasing sample size) of this statistical estimate is studied. A theorem is proved for one of the possible definitions of the regression surface estimation error that relates to the rate of decrease of this error with increasing sample size.
