The role of interactive fuzzy variables in fuzzy decision analysis and the difficulties interactivity presents to the analysis are discussed. The vertex method introduced previously for computer processing of fuzzy data is extended to include interactive fuzzy variables. The discussion is illustrated using numerical examples from three main groups of problems commonly encountered in fuzzy decision analysis. Relation of present work with previously published efforts is also discussed.
