It is required to find the parameter of a linear one-dimensional model of a plant with variable uncontrollable delay that varies in time at a limited rate in specified intervals. A method of solution of this problem is considered, as well as its characteristics, and computer simulation results are presented. The model is used for predicting the performance indexes on the basis of indirect measurements.
