Let \({\mathbb{Q}}\) be the additive group of rational numbers and let R the additive semigroup of all nonempty finite subsets of \({\mathbb{Q}}\). The author studies the greatest semilattice decomposition of R and archimedean components of R. This paper is a generalization of his earlier paper [ibid. 9, 605-616 (1986; Zbl 0606.20057)].
