The problem of the motion of a plane interface front separating a solid coating phase from a liquid phase is considered for a layer of a finite thickness. An analytical stationary and a numeric nonstationary solution of the Stefan problem are found. Experimental data are reported on the diffusivity of water in coatings containing polyacrylamide and water.
