Compressible magnetogasdynamic steady plane flows are studied by using the formulation in terms of a curvilinear coordinate systems, which is determined by quadratures. The approach is illustrated through several cases of special flow patterns arising from geometrical and physical specifications. It is investigated as to how the magnetic field strength and the adiabatic heat exponent influence the flow patterns as compared with the corresponding nonmagnetic case.
