Generalizing the model of the spinning Dirac electron with zitterbewegung, we give a theory of spinning strings, membranes and p- branes in curved background spaces of arbitrary dimensions. The dynamical variables are surface coordinates \(x^{\mu}(\xi^ A)\) and a single c- number spinor \(z(\xi^ A)\). We use a phase space action which reduces in the limit to that of spinless membranes. A Hamiltonian formulation is also given.
