In the present paper, using the minimal Cartan hypersurface in the 4- sphere \(S^ 4\), the authors construct a continuous family \(f_ R: S^ 2(R)\to S^ 4,\) \(0<R<4\), of non-standard isometric immersions of the 2- sphere of constant curvature \(1/R^ 2\), which are embedding for \(R<1.6\).
