A straightforward method for obtaining converged eigenvalues of a very large secular matrix (such as that which is met in the calculation of vibrational energy levels) is described. The method is applied to the vibrations of a floppy (quasi-linear) triatomic molecule, and to a strongly bent triatomic molecule.
