Two ordering policies are considered for a complex system which is subjected to minimal repairs based on a repair cost limit criterion. Introducing costs due to repairs, inspections, replacement, shortage and holding, the optimum ordering policies which minimise the expected cost rate in the long run are discussed. A numerical example is also presented.
