An attempt to investigate causation as a type of implication is undertaken. Of course some difficulties arise (e.g. with the negation) but the authors try to develop positive aspects of their formalism. Several useful results concerning syntactical properties of the new connective in relation to syllogistic are obtained. The algebraic semantics is investigated. At the end, the authors discuss some problems and perspectives.
