We propose an approximate method that allows for the constant access time to memory modules in multiprocessor complexes, reducing to about one half the error in throughput estimates. The method constructs M/D/n queueing systems from the M/M/n queues describing multiprocessor complexes. The implementation of the method reduces to a modification of the input parameters in the analytical models developed for an exponential memory access time. The proposed modification rules are applicable to many models described in the literature. Some simulation results are presented.
