The authors describe a new algorithm for the partial wave calculation. This technique is devised to reduce the computing time by using a vector computer. This method enables one to vectorize the calculation for the single Schrödinger equation. The method is suited also for those problems that are related to a relatively small number of quantum states. Numerical experiments indicate that the vector computer carried out the calculation is about 8 times as fast as the scalar computer.
