The nonlinear axisymmetric bending and stability of spherical caps under concentrated loads at the apex are investigated. The nonlinear equations governing large axi-symmetric deflections of the spherical caps are solved by using the Newton-spline method. Solutions for both unbuckled and buckled states are obtained, and results are compared with those obtained from theoretical and experimental studies.
