Heat transfer in flow past a continuously moving porous plate with oscillating plate temperature (Q1116852)

Earlier studies are concerned with steady-state heat transfer phenomenon. However, another important physical situation in these problems is the oscillating temperature of the moving plate about a non-zero mean. Therefore, the authors [Region. J. Energy, Heat Mass Transfer 3, 265 ff. (1981)] studied the heat transfer in flow past a continuously moving plate whose temperature is oscillating about a nonzero constant mean. It is now proposed to study the same problem by taking into consideration the effects of suction and injection. In dying of plane sheets by continuously moving the sheet through a tank of dye, the temperature of the sheet need not be always constant. Same is the case with the sheet made of fibers. The present study will help to predict this type of physical situation so that it will be found useful in the industry. In Sec. 2, the mathematical analysis is presented and in Sec. 3, the conclusions are set out.
