An approach, based on a concept of adequacy as a ``fuzzy'' relation between two dynamic systems, is proposed for studying the adequacy of mathematical models of controlled dynamic systems. It is shown that by means of specially designed criteria and functions of adequacy it is possible to investigate the adequacy of models under various conditions. The efficiency of the approach is illustrated with an example.
