The paper introduces a method to solve polynomial equations over a graded structure [cf. \textit{L. Robbiano}, J. Symb. Comput. 2, 139-170 (1986; Zbl 0609.13007)]. It gives a theoretical frame, based on a general lifting technique in graded structures which is sufficiently general to recover both the Hensel-Zassenhaus lifting and Buchberger's algorithm as specific instances. The authors also indicate how to interpret Hensel and Gröbner techniques within this setting.
