Axisymmetric torsion of an elastic space with a thin elastic inclusion (Q1117738)

The state of stress and strain of an elastic isotropic space with a thin foreign disc-like inclusion whose edge has the shape of a small-aperture angle is investigated by the method of combined asymptotic expansions (CAE) [e.g.: \textit{V. G. Maz'ya}, \textit{S. A. Nazarov} and \textit{B. A. Plamenevskij}, Asymptotics of solutions to elliptic boundary value problems under singular perturbations of domains (1981; Zbl 0462.35001); \textit{A. M. Il'in}, Math. USSR, Sb. 28(1976), 459-480 (1978; Zbl 0381.35028)]. The elastic system is in a state of axisymmetric torsion. The principal terms are obtained for the asymptotic expansions of the solution of the problem in a small parameter that characterizes the relative thickness of the inhomogeneity.
