Some elementary arguments are used to determine the possible support sizes (numbers of distinct blocks) in block designs with \(v=8\) and \(k=4\). Four specific support sizes are handled, to complete the determination for \(v=8\) and \(k=4\) begun earlier in the paper of the first author and \textit{H. Hwang} in J. Comb. Theory, Ser. A 36, 163-173 (1984; Zbl 0534.05012).
