The study of the problem of defining, in the theory of supergravity, the notion of a spacetime symmetry is continued. The connection with the formalism of superspace is explicitly considered, and the geometrical significance of the definition given in Parts I and II [see ibid. 20, No.3, 261-277 (1988; Zbl 0634.53068) and ibid. 20, No.9, 905-925 (1988; Zbl 0647.53074)] of this series of papers is emphasized.
