Plane-symmetric magnetofluid cosmological models (Q1119135)

The solutions of the Einstein and Einstein-Maxwell equations for magnetofluid with cosmological constant are obtained for plane-symmetric space-time. We recover the results of \textit{R. Hojman} and \textit{J. Santamarina} [J. Math. Phys. 25, 1973-1974 (1984)] in a special case when the magnetic field is made to vanish. It has also been shown that under a suitable transformation the cases \(\Lambda =0\) and \(\Lambda\neq 0\) are mathematically equivalent.
