The purpose of this paper is to study Hopf properties in the category of finitely generated RG-modules, where R is a commutative noetherian ring with unity and G is a soluble-by-finite group. A module is non-Hopf if and only if it is isomorphic to a proper quotient of itself. Those groups having such finitely generated RG-modules are classified.
