The paper handles with certain hypotheses due to \textit{V. I. Arnol'd} [Funct. Anal. Appl. 6, 94-101 (1972); translation from Funkts. Anal. Prilozh. 6, No.2, 12-20 (1972; Zbl 0251.70012)] concerning the transversality with respect to the eigenvalues of a family of selfadjoint operators. The author proves that in some situations the hypotheses are true, but they do not hold in general which is shown by some counterexamples.
