Correction to a theorem on c-ordering (Q1120642)

This paper addresses an error in a previous paper of the author [ibid. 75, 495-522 (1982; Zbl 0482.16013)]. In this earlier work, the author proved that the bounded elements R in a c-ordered division ring D was a *-closed total valuation ring in D. Certain other properties of R which were claimed to hold are shown here to be false. The author points out the error in his earlier work and mentions various additional conditions regarding the ordering which rectify either some or all of the erroneous claims made there.
