For a certain class of operators introduced by the author [ibid. 62, 278--281 (1986; Zbl 0658.42009)], the author defines a so-called partial Fourier transform of a partial convolution. As an application, he gives an explicit representation of solutions to linear higher-order partial differential equations. For Part II, see Proc. Japan Acad., Ser.
