For many years the density topology has been considered and some properties of that topology connected with approximate continuity have been investigated. About 10 years ago a group of mathematicians from Łódź, Poland, started with some investigations on the analogues of density topology, namely, I-density topology, where I is some \(\sigma\)- ideal (in particular \(\sigma\)-ideal of the sets of the first category.) In the reviewing article one can find some extensions of the definition of a sparse set for the case of category and some new topologies are introduced and investigated.
