According to \textit{P. Lax} and \textit{R. Phillips} [Scattering theory (1967; Zbl 0186.16301)], the scattering operator associated with the wave equation in an exterior domain \(\Omega\), subject to zero Dirichlet boundary conditions, uniquely determines the obstacle \({\mathbb{R}}^ n\setminus \Omega\). The author studies here the problem of determining, in case of a metric perturbation for the wave equation in \({\mathbb{R}}^ n\), the metric uniquely.
