The Bethe-Salpeter equation for superstrings (Q1122098)

The study of superstrings, providing an improved form of the point-model for particles, has assumed great significance for investigations in the microworld. Here the authors analyze the concept of bound states for superstrings. Applying Schwinger's functional methods, equations of the 4-string Green functionals for superstring fields, the equations for corresponding wave functionals and the orthonormalization relation of the bound state wave functionals are derived and discussed. The relevant irreducible kernel is constructed and used. The paper undoubtedly adds to the fast - increasing literature on superstring theories.
