The author proves the following result: Let \(M\) be a \((2m+1)\)-dimensional complete simply-connected extrinsic sphere tangent to the almost contact vector of a cosymplectic ambient manifold. If \(M\) has flat normal connection, then it is isometric to a standard sphere.
