For iterative solvers of a large linear system of equations, parallel synchronous two-stage multisplitting methods have been widely studied by many authors. This paper deals with the comparison of such methods with and without overlap for the nonstationary case. The results are similar to the ones presented for the stationary case. It is shown that under certain hypotheses that the method with overlap is faster than that without overlap.
