The authors show that the bifurcations generated by some iterated function systems observed numerically by \textit{S. Bahar} [Chaos Solitons Fractals, 8, No. 3, 303-312 (1997; Zbl 0920.58033)] have an analytical explanation. Here they present an extension of their previous study of the two-dimensional ase and prove that by a similarity transformation the considered map can be reduced to two distinctive maps, such that each one determines the behaviour of the entire system.
