The author considers symmetric designs with symmetric Baer subdesigns, as studied e.g. by the reviewer in [``On subdesigns of symmetric designs'', Math. Z. 181, 383-393 (1982; Zbl 0496.05008)] and studies the problem of finding resolutions for the resulting symmetric divisible designs obtained by discarding the Baer subdesign.
