The authors present the construction of an approximation of nonlinear operators of the type \(u\to f\circ u\), where \(f\) is a given smooth function and \(\circ\) stands for the composition of functions. They show the interest of the construction of scaling functions with a large number of zero moments. Next, they give their approximation of nonlinear terms and prove its convergence. Numerical tests are performed on univariate examples.
