The homotopy analysis method (HAM) is greatly improved by introducing a nonzero variable \(h\) and an embedding parameter. Based on the HAM, we propose a new numerical approach for strongly nonlinear problems and apply it to solve, as an example, a nonlinear heat transfer problem, i.e. microwave heating of plate.
