[For part I see ibid. 133, 33-42 (1990; Zbl 0711.15006).] The authors give necessary and sufficient conditions on the real finite normed spaces \((X,\|\centerdot\|_ 1)\) and \((Y,\|\centerdot\|_ 2)\) so that every linear transform \(T:X\to Y\) admits a minimum \(-\|\centerdot\|_ 1\) approximate \(- \|\centerdot\|_ 2\) generalized inverse. The converse is true using the generalized inverse of the above linear transform and holds if the dimensions of both Hilbert spaces are at least 3.
