The construction of the \(N^{n-1}\)-state generalization of the chiral model proposed by \textit{V. V. Bazhanov}, \textit{R. M. Kashaev}, \textit{V. V. Mangazeev} and \textit{Yu. G. Stroganov} [Commun. Math. Phys. 138, 393-408 (1991; see the preceding review)] is presented for odd \(N\). The Yang- Baxter equation is proved.
